LSUPD officers arrested three individuals during the past month on various unrelated charges.
Officers responded to a disturbance May 14 at Nicholson Apartments. Arnold Agujar, age unknown, of 13836 Shortridge Ave., Baton Rouge, allegedly became involved in an argument with his wife over whether he was
capable of driving, Capt. Mark Shaw said.
Agujar allegedly pushed his wife to the ground and tried to force his way into one of the apartments, injuring another individual.
He was arrested and issued a summons for simple battery and simple criminal damage to property.
Officers in the Peabody Hall parking lot heard a vehicle hit a pedestrian crossing sign May 16 at the corner of Dalrymple Drive and Fieldhouse Drive, Shaw said.
Officers pursued the vehicle and noticed that the vehicle’s right side tires and rims were destroyed.
The driver, Eusebio Gongora II, 20, of 7860 Barataria Blvd., Crown Point, La., performed poorly on a field sobriety test and was later determined to have a blood alcohol content of 0.16, Shaw said.
Gongora was booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of DWI, hit and run and careless operation.
Officers were called May 25 to a three-vehicle crash on Highland Road in front of Evangeline Hall, Shaw said.
The driver of one of the vehicles, Willie Joshua Green III, 30, of 4445 Washington Ave., Baton Rouge, refused a sobriety test, Shaw said.
Green was booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of fourth-offense DWI, following too closely and a warrant from the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office for unknown charges.
