With the possibility of heavy and widespread rain later on tonight as Hurricane Ivan nears landfall, LSUPD Maj. Ricky Adams urged students to use caution on all campus roadways.
Adams said the areas on and near campus most prone to flooding are Hart Lot, the area near Kirby-Smith Hall, Burbank Drive and Nicholson Drive.
Students should not attempt to drive through standing water on roadways, because it can be difficult to judge the depth of the water.
