We are a month into 2025, and students around campus expressed their personal opinions on things that should be left in 2024, and things they plan, and hope, to gain this year.
From leaving behind bad habits, “no more parties, no more Murphys,” said LSU student Jo’hanna Thomas, “because I live in Cypress Hall and Murphys is right there, and I am not doing it anymore.”
To yearning for good friendships, “Things I want in 2025 are good relationships,” said LSU student Seth Trotter, “people are all like for the clout nowadays, or they always want something from other people. Good relationships are what we need nowadays.”
Some even mentioned the want to bring in more positivity into the new year, “In 2025, I want to bring in peace and prosperity,” said Itali Lundy, “you know prospering in every aspect of my life.”
But one of the most popular things people want in the new year is money, “In 2025, I want money, I want straight money,” said Jylan Harmon, “being broke and in college isn’t for the weak, and I am the weak.”
There are still eleven months ahead of us, and we wish the best of luck to all students, hoping each and every one achieves their goal.
