When the LSU Tigers took the court on Thursday, where they defeated No. 13 Oklahoma 107-100, one player who did not enter the arena, Last-Tear Poa.
After the postgame press conference, head coach Kim Mulkey addressed the absence of her senior guard.
“She is being disciplined for the breaking of a team rule,” Mulkey said.
She did not specify the exact reason or give a timeline of when we will be expected to see Poa return.
Poa was ruled out on Wednesday night following the release of the SEC’s Student-Athlete Availability Report.
This will be the fifth game of the season that Poa has missed including their most recent matchup against Texas A&M on Sunday.
Poa provided defense and veteran leadership at the guard position for the Tigers.
In the 18 games she appeared in, she averaged 2.3 points per game and two assists.
