The LSU Gymnastics team took first place today at NCAA Semifinal I with a final score of 197.4750. They will advance to the National Championship along with Florida and two other teams that are to be determined.
Sports reporter Trinitee Johnson gave an inside look on how the Tigers were feeling before competing in the semifinals today. The girls seemed to be calm and collected despite a season riddled with adversity.
Floor anchor Haleigh Bryant had the highest all-around score with a 39.6875, which helped pave the way for a Purple and Gold victory.
The National Championship will take place in the Dickie’s Arena in Fort Worth, Texas at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15.
The No. 1 ranked LSU Baseball team will play their first game in the series with the No. 12 Kentucky Wildcats tonight at 6:00 p.m.
The matchup will continue in games at 6:30 on Friday and 1:00 on Saturday.
