LSU Softball head coach Beth Torina spoke with the media Wednesday ahead of opening day against Nicholls.

“This is the most experienced team I’ve ever coached,” Torina said.

The 13-year head coach spoke great lengths about the depth and experience of this year’s team. She also made sure to highlight the importance of their talented freshman class.

“I hope you get to see a little bit of all of them,” Torina said in regards to how many freshmen fans can expect to see on opening day.

The team will start their season on Thursday, Feb. 8 against Nicholls.
