The Krewe of Shenandoah is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing goodwill to Shenandoah with the celebration of Mardi Gras. This year’s theme is “May the Course Be With You,” a play on the popular “Star Wars” quote. The parade rolls at 6:30 p.m. For more information on the parade route, click here.
Lundi Gras | The Queen Baton Rouge
The high-energy Michael Foster Project will be performing live at 1717 Kitchen + Cocktails at The Queen Baton Rouge. Keep the good times rolling with tasty bites and handcrafted cocktails, available for purchase throughout the night. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show begins at 9 p.m.. Daniel Lee | La Divina Italian Cafe
La Divina welcomes another musical creative: Daniel Lee Comeaux. Comeaux won the WAMA Songwriter of the Year award, along with the Gold Award for the rock category of the SAW Awards. The show is to promote his upcoming ninth self-produced album, “Will for Want.” The show begins at 6 p.m. and is free to the public.

LSU gymnastics vs. Georgia | PMAC
Cheer on our gymnast Tigers at 7:30 p.m. as they compete against No. 9 Georgia. Ranked at No. 3, the team remains the top vault team in the country. Tickets to the meet can be bought here.
Saturday, March 8
LSU men’s basketball vs. Texas A&M | PMAC
The LSU men’s basketball team will play Texas A&M at 3 p.m. After a devastating loss against Tennessee in the Tiger’s last home game, fans are eager for a comeback. The game will be broadcasted on the SEC Network and tickets can be purchased here. Only upper bowl seats are still available.
Redz River Run Race | A.W. Mumford Stadium
The fourth annual Redz River Run 5k and 10k Race/Walk is hosted by the Baton Rouge Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The race’s proceeds will go to Baton Rouge Aids Society, Southern Laboratory School, Exxon YMCA, Ainsley’s Angels and The Butterfly Society. Register for the run here.
