LSU Gymnastics dominated again scoring a season high of 198.125, just down the road against George Washington.
Head Coach Jay Clark believes this meet did exactly what was needed for the team, and this was reflected in the scores.
An exceptional beam rotation allowed the team to not have to count any score lower than a 9.900.
Senior Sierra Ballard, scored a 9.950 on the floor, her personal best, winning her first floor title for the Tigers. Haleigh Bryant is back in the all-around for the second time this season, scoring a total of 39.725, to win the category.
With new faces in exhibition spots, they were able to get a feel for scored match-ups, and the team is excited for what’s ahead later in the season.
Sophomore Kylie Coen made her floor debut, where she delivered a great performance with the score of 9.900. Leah Miller showed her skills on vault and floor, anchoring the Tigers floor rotation with a 9.875 in her debut.
The team had multiple career highs, returners back on top and Clark says this was their complete performance of the year. They believe they're finally settling in and this is only just a small amount of what they are capable of.
LSU Gymnastics will take on the University of Georgia, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. at home in the PMAC.
