When LSU was on top of the college baseball world in 2023, the accomplishment was perhaps matched by its fans setting the record for most Jell-o shots at the famous Rocco’s Pizza and Cantina.
Rocco’s, located within walking distance of Charles Schwab Field, where the College World Series is played in Omaha, has put on this competition since 2019, and a portion of the proceeds go to food banks in Omaha and in the hometowns of visiting CWS teams.
In 2023, LSU fans ordered a total of 68,888 Jell-o shots across the week and change the team competed in Omaha, the most in the competition’s history.

Now, Tiger fans look to top it. So far, they’re on top of the leaderboard with 943, per the latest update at 1 p.m. Friday.
LSU doesn’t play until Saturday, and fans are already getting started. Rocco’s said via X (formerly known as Twitter) account that LSU fans are ahead of their 2023 pace.
The same is true for Murray State and Coastal Carolina’s fans, it said. The competition figures to be fierce.
The other teams competing in the CWS (and, by proxy, in the Rocco’s Jell-o Shot Challenge) are Arkansas, Arizona, Louisville, UCLA, and Oregon State.
Last year’s Jell-o Shot champion was Tennessee with over 30,000 shots. The Vols also took home the national championship.
