As Mardi Gras approaches, the anticipation builds for all the festivities, including the parades, balls, music, and atmosphere. But in this week’s entertainment segment, we’re discussing all things fashion. Whether you prefer to keep it comfortable and casual or tend to dress a little fancier, you can always incorporate Mardi Gras into your everyday attire, from the purple, gold, and green to the Mardi Gras accessories.
Fashion Association at LSU officers Kiana Tarr and JM Malezweski joined the show to provide some tips and tricks to get the perfect Mardi Gras outfit and even provide some inspiration for those struggling.
“My favorite thing to do is get a base outfit, maybe like a statement piece, and then work your way from there with accessories,” Tarr said.
A lot of students don’t want to break the bank when it comes to shopping and try to find alternative and cheaper options.
“Thrift stores and Poshmark are always my favorites, but you can also accessorize at local boutiques,” Malezweski said.
Mardi Gras is a time to express yourself and have some fun, no matter what style of outfit you choose.
