It’s the Reveille’s annual fundraiser week. You can donate and purchase merch here.
The Reveille has had a historic year.
We followed as the university went through stunning leadership changes, providing deeper coverage of its presidential search than any other outlet. We looked back at the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and investigated the reinstatement of two fraternities previously banned for hazing.
We chronicled the school’s two high-profile coaching hires that shook up the collegiate athletics landscape. Who could forget our “FIRED” and “HIRED” front covers?
We captured student perspective on major LSU happenings, like the university’s controversial decision to shut down Unity Field and the pending arrival of the Ten Commandments in classrooms. We fluttered your hearts with our Valentine’s edition.
Through it all, our goal is to inform the LSU community, tell stories of its people and culture — especially those underrepresented — and capture stories beyond the surface through a perspective only students can provide.
We can only keep doing that with your help.
It’s our annual fundraiser week, and we’d love your support as we aim to keep up our award-winning LSU coverage. We’re selling some quite handsome merch, and we’re also selling graduate messages for graduates and their families to capture this special occasion.
You can donate to the Reveille here.
This year, your donations sent the Reveille to the Associated Collegiate Press College Media Mega Workshop in Minneapolis for a conference that shaped the next leaders of student journalism.
Your donations also sent us to Sacramento for the women’s NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 and to Omaha for the College World Series en route to LSU baseball’s eighth championship.
In the past, your donations gave the Reveille its modern newsroom renovation, giving our staff a beautiful space to work in and congregate.
Moving forward, your donations will keep providing career-changing experiences for budding student journalists and keep us doing what we do: providing unparalleled coverage of all things LSU for you.
The Reveille has opened doors for me and many others career-wise, but it’s the people and the purpose that we stay for. We hope you’ll consider contributing to keep our mission going. Any amount helps.
