Post Malone isn’t coming to Tiger Stadium after all.
The singer and rapper has canceled his show on LSU’s campus that was set for May 23, he announced on his Instagram story Friday.
“I promised y’all beautiful people new music, and I don’t have the time to finish it before tour stars,” Malone said. “We ain’t ready for tour just yet, so I’m making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done.”
The show was part of Malone’s Big Ass Stadium Tour and was also set to feature Jelly Roll. Four other shows were canceled as well.
“I’m so sorry to the folks who were planning on coming to the few canceled shows,” Malone said. “I was looking forward to going nuts with y’all.”
LSU officials told WAFB that tickets would be refunded in full and will be processed within 15 to 20 business days.
The show was also a centerpiece of LSU’s new Death Valley Live initiative that seeks to bring world-class live acts to Tiger Stadium.
Country artist Zach Bryan was the first major show in Tiger Stadium since Death Valley Live began.
