Paper Delivery Assistant ($20/hour)

Deliver the newspaper around the campus area on a roughly three-hour route on Monday and Thursday mornings

News Reporter

Cover the happenings and the people of campus in real-time from campus life, student organizations, politics, research and more
Should have command of writing, drive to tell stories, ability to work in a timely fashion and comfort with holding interviews
Expectation: Two stories a week

Sports Reporter

Cover world-class university athletics and find unique stories while attending games and press conferences
Should have command of writing, ability to meet deadlines and baseline knowledge of sports
Expectation: Two stories a week

Entertainment Reporter

Cover culture, student organizations and the arts while finding ways to relate trends to campus life and tell people’s stories in a creative way
Should have a command of writing, ability to meet deadlines and knowledge of trends
Expectation: Two stories a week

Photographer

Photograph news and sports events around campus and pick up weekly requested assignments to support stories with compelling visuals
Should have experience with photography and photo editing
Expectation: Two photo assignments a week minimum

Copy Editor/Page Designer

Help design the twice-weekly newspaper and edit articles for grammar and clarity
Should have experience with Adobe programs (especially InDesign), eye for design and knowledge of grammar
Expectation: One night per week designing a print edition and two shifts per week copyediting online content

Digital Optimizer

Pitch, create and schedule engaging social content for target audience
Write compelling captions for social posts across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter (X), TikTok and LinkedIn
Optimize website content for Google search engines
Experience in Capcut and Canva preferred, but not required

Opinion Columnist

Write columns on trending topics both nationally and locally supported with evidence
Should have command of writing, strong opinions and ability to meet deadlines
Expectation: One column a week

Graphic Artist

Produce engaging graphics to support and enhance content
Should have experience with Adobe programs and ability to meet deadlines
Expectation: Fulfill graphics as requested
