Your alarm clock begins to ring — It’s morning. You try to get up and face the day, but your bed beckons. Oh well, five more minutes won’t hurt…Right?
Does that sound familiar?
Even the most stylish people in the world have days like that. I know I have them all the time! But gloomy weather, looming deadlines and Monday blues (or the weekday blues in general) don’t mean you have to default to wearing sweatpants and Uggs. Here’s some quick tips on how to throw together comfy yet cute outfits for miserable days.
-Combine great basics together and add pops of color with cute accessories. Comfy cardigans (for layering) are also integral.
-Leave your heels at home and give your feet a rest. Wear flat shoes like ballet flats, oxfords and ankle boots.
-Dresses are comfortable and easy to throw on. If it’s cold out, add tights and a cardigan or a great leather jacket.
-One piece of statement jewelry can take an outfit from boring to brilliant.
A few comfortable, easy outfits:
-A feminine dress, tights, a chunky cardigan, flat boots or oxfords
-A lace top, a full skirt and ballet flats or oxfords (add some fun jewelry)
-An oversized sweater, leggings and flat boots (add a patterned scarf or fun earrings)
-A lace top, dark wash jeans and riding boots (add layered necklaces or a cute scarf)
-A striped top, colored jeans (red would look great), ballet flats and a scarf
-A striped top, a fun patterned skirt, a leather jacket, and ballet flats
-A button-down blouse, dark wash jeans (or leggings) and ballet flats
-A chunky sweater, jeans and flat boots or oxfords (add a cute scarf)
