With LSU opening up SEC play this weekend against Auburn, here’s a list of somethings to keep your eye on Saturday.
1. LSU dominated out-of-conference play in 2013, but can the Tigers keep pace now that they enter Southeastern Conference play?
2. Auburn runs a speedy, no-huddle offense. Can the Tiger defense overcome its slow start and stop the quick-paced offensive attack?
3. Last season, Auburn came within two points of upsetting LSU at Jordan-Hare Stadium. This season the game is in Tiger Stadium. Can LSU once again avoid the upset?
4. LSU coach Les Miles has slowly worked running back Jeremy Hill back into the lineup. Does Hill finally move to the top of the depth chart against Auburn?
5. LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis has been making moves in the secondary and linebacking corps for three weeks now. Who do we see open up SEC play and is that the best option?
6. LSU defensive back Jeryl Brazil is coming off a court summons for an on-campus brawl on Sept. 11, but Miles said he may still play this weekend. Do we see Brazil and does his legal troubles distract from his play?
7. Does fullback Connor Neighbors keep his title of longest reception of the season for LSU?
8. Quarterback Zach Mettenberger has been on fire to start the season. Can he continue his stellar play on Saturday?
9. Can LSU cut down on penalties this week after recording 11 penalties for 86 yards against Kent State?
10. Is Odell Beckham Jr.’s hot start in 2013 because of his talent or was it just a lack of competition?
