Online shopping is the greatest guilty pleasure. I love that you can order cashmere without ever leaving your couch. And as a self-proclaimed web shopping expert, I’ve rounded up the 10 best retailers online right now. So sit back, relax, and bust out your credit cards.
1. Everlane
Let’s start with the basics. Everlane makes the best basics for the best price. Hands down. They’re also one of the most ethical companies around. Everlane uses only reputable, safe factories and shares their exact costs with the customer.
This Weekender is at the top of my wish list:
2. BonLook
We’re all familiar with Warby Parker now, so here’s the newest site on the specs scene. BonLook pairs you with a stylist to help pick out the perfect glasses shape for you. Personally, I think they have some of the cutest sunglasses out there, especially for the price.
3. Birchbox
Birchbox is my favorite thing in beauty right now. Once a month, they mail you a precious box full of fabulous samples. It’s like Christmas once a month! Birchbox subscriptions make fantastic gifts too, just ask my best friend. And their online store is stocked full of interesting, high quality, editor-approved products, including several Birchbox exclusives.
4. Shoemint
Shoemint is a shoe subscription site in the vein of Shoedazzle and JustFab, the major differences being Rachel Bilson’s creative input and Steve Madden’s factory. Everything I’ve bought from here has been well made, comfortable, and gorgeous. And with Shoemint’s frequent sales, you can find great deals on really great shoes.
5. Cory Vines
Cory Vines is relatively new on the scene and they’re looking to compete with lululemon and similar high end activewear brands. If exercise is your thing, you’ll definitely want to check this out.
6. Baublebar
Baublebar has all the makings of a perfect online retailer. Affordable (adorable) wares, free shipping both ways, frequent guest designers, and the Buried Bauble. Members of Baublebar get weekly emails with clues about a piece of jewelry marked down for the day (the Buried Bauble). Their selection is unreal, so if you have a specific look in mind, you’re bound to find it here. Here’s my invite link if you’re interested.
7. Fab.com
Fab.com has a little bit of everything. Clothes, housewares, art, electronics, even pet accessories. They have the coolest, most unusual inventory out there. A one-stop shop for all your quirky needs.
8. THE OUTNET
Most college students can’t afford the designer clothes at Neimans or Nordstrom, but The Outnet designer outlet puts them within our reach. If you’re looking for a special dress or investment bag that won’t kill your savings account, I’d look here first.
9. Mr Porter
Now one just for the guys. Mr Porter is a carefully cultivated menswear retailer. They collaborate with sartorially inclined actors and designers to publish some of the most interesting menswear content on the web.
Their editor’s picks are always spot on. Boys can be so fun to dress!
10. BONUS: Rank & Style
So, Rank & Style isn’t exactly an online retailer, but I had to throw it in here. They have endless Top 10 lists of everything from little black dresses to carry-on suitcases to dry shampoo. So, if you’re looking to try something different, be it lip gloss or running tights, check Rank & Style first. They’ve yet to disappoint me.
