UPDATE 8/28/2013 9:29 PM: Both police and the family of missing University student Chris Broussard confirmed he was the deceased driver of the overturned truck.
St. Gabriel Police Chief Kevin Ambeau confirmed the driver was Broussard, a sociology senior and member of the Theta Chi fraternity. Unidentified members of Broussard’s family were at the scene.

UPDATE 8/28/2013 7:33 PM: A Nissan pickup truck was found overturned Tuesday evening on the side of Highway 30 near Iberville Parish.
Police said the vehicle is suspected, but not confirmed, to belong to sociology senior Chris Broussard, who was reported missing Tuesday morning.

UPDATE 8/28/2013: The Theta Chi Fraternity International Headquarters released an official statement on Broussard, urging anyone with information about Broussard’s whereabouts to come forward.
“Theta Chi offers its full support of the efforts of investigators and prays for Christopher’s safe and immediate return,” the statement said.

Broussard was reported missing on Tuesday after he didn’t return home from a party during the first week of school, according to WBRZ.
