UNC takes a 3-0 lead over LSU going into the fourth inning in the elimination game of the College World Series.
LSU sophomore pitcher Cody Glenn only lasted through two innings of work in his first start in 28 days, after he allowed three runs on five hits including a two-run home run in the first inning.
LSU senior pitcher Brent Bonvillian came on and got the Tigers out of a bases loaded, no outs jam to swing the momentum in the Tigers favor.
But LSU couldn’t capitalize, as senior left fielder Raph Rhymes stranded his 79th baserunner on the season after popping out to the second baseman with two outs and the bases loaded.
Bonvillian stayed in to pitch for LSU in the fourth.
