The Honors College announced its three finalists in the search for a new dean in a college-wide email Wednesday. The Honors College is the final college to finalize candidates for its dean search, following the College of Music and Dramatic Arts and LSU Libraries in their announcements earlier this week.
The first finalist is James McKusick of the University of Montana’s Davidson Honors College, who will interview on campus March 26 and 27.
Finalist John Vile is the dean of the University Honors College at Middle Tennessee State University and will be on campus March 31 and April 1.
Finally, coming to campus April 7 and 8 is Jonathan Earle, who is the director of the University Honors Program at the University of Kansas.
The dean search came after current dean Nancy Clark announced she would be stepping down in the spring, said University Honors’ College communications coordinator Liz Billet. Updated details on candidates, including dates for open forums where faculty and students can meet the candidates, will be available as schedules are confirmed.
