Tariffs have been affecting many businesses all over the United States. One brand in particular right here on LSU’s campus has felt the effect of the tariffs.
LA Noir just started their brand in October and since then there has been a rapid increase in customers. With over 1,300 followers, this brand is very popular throughout the Louisiana community, reaching college campuses like Southern University, Grambling State, and University of Lafayette.
This clothing brand does receive their products from overseas and has seen an increase in tax and a little bit of a delay in shipment.
Due to the tariffs, LA Noir has had to increase market prices.
Brennan Broussard, head of modeling for LA Noir, spoke with us on what he thinks the future will look like for the brand if the tariffs continue to increase.
“If you drop the prices down, you are making it more affordable for people and if you get more numbers, the numbers will add up so I definitely feel as if it got to that stand point we would just have to drop our prices and we might have to take some type of pay cut,” said Broussard.
