Grade: F
Indie band American Authors hit the music scene back in 2012 with ads for Lowe’s using the single “Best Day of My Life.” From there, interest in the band slowly formed, evening out in 2013. American Authors brought its name back into recognition with the release of its first studio album “Oh, What a Life.” It has been concluded that listening to the album was the worst day of my life. The band’s sound could be described as The Script covering songs by Imagine Dragons with vocals by Tyler Glenn from Neon Trees. It will be a miracle if this band can afford to tour after blowing its studio budget on 15 different mandolins. If you think you should at least give this album a chance, consider what else could be accomplished in the 40 minutes spent listening.
