The College of Music and Dramatic Arts and the LSU Libraries announced the final candidates for their respective dean searches Monday.
The seven finalists, four for the College of Music and Dramatic Arts and three for LSU Libraries, will be on campus in the next three weeks, giving open-forum talks to students and faculty as part of the in-person interview process, a University news release said.
The finalists for the College of Music and Dramatic Arts dean include Todd Queen, the current chair of the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance at Colorado State University, and Kristin Sosnowsky, the interim dean of the school and managing director of Swine Palace, Glen Chandler from University of Texas at Austin, and Michael Miles from the University of Southern Mississippi.
According to the release, Queen will be on campus for an open-forum talk at 9:30 a.m. today in the Shaver Theatre. Sosnowsky will conduct her open-forum event next Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the same location.
The finalists for the LSU Libraries dean include Janice
Welburn from Marquette University, Stanley Wilder from the University of North
Carolina-Charlotte, and Frances Wilkinson from the University of New Mexico. Dates for their open-forum interviews are to be determined, according to the release.
These dean searches, closing with the in-person interviews this month, were two of seven dean searches that began last year when the deans of six University colleges and the LSU Libraries stepped down.
In the story titled “Finalists announced for dean searches,” there were in fact four finalist candidates announced for the College of Music and Dramatic Arts’ dean search; the two listed in the story were those whose in-person interviews were scheduled to occur in the next two weeks.
