BATON ROUGE. La. (AP) Voters have one more day to cast their ballots early for the Dec. 6 election.
Louisiana’s early voting period wraps up today, running from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., after shutting down Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
People can vote at their parish registrar of voters’ office, and some parishes have other designated locations as well.
The Dec. 6 election will settle the U.S. Senate race between Democratic incumbent Mary Landrieu and Republican Bill Cassidy and fill congressional seats representing northeast Louisiana and the Baton Rouge region.
Other local races also remain to be decided, like competitions to choose district attorneys and school board members. Ballots around Louisiana list 201 elected positions to be filled and 124 propositions to be decided, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.
Early voting ends today
