After you’ve spent an hour scraping the slimy goop out of the pumpkin you are about to carve, make sure not to throw away the seeds because they can easily be made into a delicious, healthy snack. Here’s what you do:
-Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of melted butter; ½ teaspoon of salt; ½ teaspoon of Tony’s; 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce; ⅛ teaspoon of garlic salt; 2-3 cups of pumpkin seeds (or as many as are in your pumpkin)
-Preparation: Make sure that the seeds are washed of all the pumpkin excess and are completely dry (it may take a few hours at room temperature to dry the seeds). Preheat the oven to 275 degrees. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and toss the seeds until they are thoroughly covered in spices. Spread the seeds onto a cookie baking sheet, and bake for approximately one hour until the seeds are a dark, crispy brown.
