“Whenever the next Greek function is… it probably will be a good idea not to go to it.”
Some Greeks like Eddie Ordeman are worried that they will receive similar death threats like the ones sent to members of Alabama’s Greek community.
“I don’t want a target on my chest,” Eddie Ordeman said.
The threats at Alabama were texted or posted online Sunday and Monday night by someone with the user name Arthur Pendragon who wrote things like “my mercy kept all of you alive…” and “do you want to know how it feels having a tar 21 passing through your flesh”
The university police department is still searching for the person behind the posts… and this worries LSU students who have friends at Alabama
“We’re just telling them don’t go to class, be inside we just hope that they don’t get hurt”
LSU Vice Chancellor Kurt Keppler says students at LSU should not assume similar threats will happen on their campus.
”When threats like this occur it’s normal to feel scared but I’m sure our police would handle things fine if there was to be a threat and Captain Corey Lalonde says he will talk to officers at Alabama to see how LSU can be prepared if something like this happens.
“It’s not only the law enforcement agencies but the other agencies reaching out to each other and keeping people informed, because each time those incidents out there you can learn something,” Lalonde said.
There hasn’t been an online threat since 2012 but there have been two bomb threats.
