Dak Prescott and Mississippi State were very efficient on two of their three drives to give the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead after one quarter in Tiger Stadium.
Prescott completed all three of his passes on the Bulldogs’ opening drive and found De’Runnya Wilson for a nine-yard touchdown pass.
Aided by a half-back pass from Terrance Magee to Malchi Dupre, LSU managed to move the ball down the field and get as close as the one yard line. After four straight runs, Mississippi State forced LSU to turn the ball over on downs.
Mississippi State then marched 98 yards capped off by a Josh Robinson three-yard touchdown run putting the Bulldogs up by two scores.
