The University will reopen on Thursday at 10 a.m. after classes were canceled Tuesday and Wednesday because of a winter storm that saw temperatures drop to the low 20s.
East Baton Rouge Parish schools as well as city-parish offices announced they would remain closed on Thursday.
LSU President F. King Alexander said the administrators are discussing how to make up the days missed because of the storm, but Student Government president John Woodard said the preliminary talks are the University will make up those days with two Saturday classes, which won’t affect either Mardi Gras or Spring breaks.
