The University’s Kappa Sigma fraternity will build a new house on campus pending approval from the LSU Board of Supervisors at their Dec. 12 meeting.
Though the house is funded completely by the fraternity, the Board will vote on whether the new house’s designs are in compliance with Campus Design Guidelines.
The schematic designs were already cleared Nov. 19 by the University’s Facility Design and Development Committee.
Funding for the new house will come exclusively from the fraternity’s fees and revenues, according to the Board’s agenda.
Kappa Sigma’s new house will not move from its current location at 15 Dalrymple Drive.
The fraternity was founded at the University in 1887.
