A man wanted by the LSU Police Department for multiple thefts in Middleton Library last month was arrested on December 10.
Travis S. Davis, 35, was charged with two counts of theft (one felony and one misdemeanor) related to the incidents at Middleton. According to LSUPD, on November 24, there was a report of a stolen backpack containing a wallet and other belongings. Davis was also responsible for the theft of a MacBook Pro belonging to a different victim on the same day in Middleton Library.
LSUPD investigators identified Davis after a campus-wide “Help Identify” e-mail was sent on December 10 featuring the suspect’s image taken from the library’s surveillance footage.
Davis was found in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison after having been arrested on the same day as the Middleton thefts for unrelated charges.
