Two men were injured in a drive-by shooting near LSU’s campus Wednesday afternoon, and another person was hit by a car, according to Baton Rouge Police Department. 

Two men were walking to a local store when they were shot on Alaska Street around 1 p.m., said Sgt. Darren Ahmed with BRPD. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the shots fired from inside a vehicle, he said.

A third person may have been hit by a vehicle, Ahmed said, adding that it was unknown if that vehicle was a part of the shooting. 

The multiple rounds of shots were heard from students on campus.
