A little more than a month into school, LSU has had its second power outage disrupting classes.
The first, on the second day of classes, closed the university for the day. The second, coming before 7 a.m. Monday, delayed work until 10 a.m. and classes until 10:30 a.m.
Tammy Millican, LSU’s executive director of facility and property oversight, said the outage was caused by an issue with Entergy. The company restored power around 8 a.m., and there should be no further issues, Millican said.
The power outage earlier in the semester was caused by a downed Entergy transmission cable.
