Waka Flocka Flame visited Baton Rouge for one reason and one reason only, to party. Before the show started, the DJs were teasing us with Waka’s presence. “Are you guys ready for Flocka?” the DJs yelled almost every 30 minutes. The crowd seemed to be tired of “The DJ That Cried Flocka” routine by about the fourth time. Before anyone could doubt his presence, the DJ shouted “He’s right behind you!” after he asked if the crowd was ready one last time.
The man of the hour came through the back of the crowd of The Varsity Theater, while also beginning the show on the floor. Fans and listeners circled around him as he rapped his way up on the stage. Everybody at this point was super hyped for this show and excited to see what else he had in store. Getting handed a fat blunt on stage, he lights it and passes it to his stage crew and then off to his groupies.
Towards the end of the show, Waka pointed out “this Clark Kent lookin’ mother f—er” and brought him on stage. Following “Clark’s” appearance on stage, Waka called up the women to dance up on stage with this one lucky guy. Moments later, the stage was clustered with Fraternity members without their shirts and promiscuous gals. If this wasn’t enough to lose some of the crowd, as soon as Waka Flocka Flame got on the turn table, the crowd started to make their way towards the exit. The show ended shortly after that. For the most part, the crowd seemed to be happy with what they paid for.
