An LSU broadcast email was sent out around 11:40 a.m. stating the object that was seen hanging from a tree in the Quad this morning was not a noose.
The email followed a Tweet from the LSU official account confirming LSUPD was investigating the incident.
“Though this proved not to be the case, we want to emphasize that racial intolerance will never be permitted on our campus,” the broadcast email stated.
