If you’re a child of the 2000s, you probably grew up with some quality children’s television such as “That’s So Raven,” “The Amanda Show,” “Drake and Josh,” “Lizzie McGuire.”
One show that stuck in the hearts and minds of early 2000s tweens was “Even Stevens,” a show about a normal tween boy living a normal tween boy’s life.
Some stars of the show have enjoyed success since the show’s ending in 2003 and others have lived on as internet memes. None have enjoyed the level of success and malign as star Shia LaBeouf, who played Louis Stevens in the Disney Channel show.
LaBeouf starred alongside Christy Carlson Romano, Nick Spano and A.J. Trauth, who all do not make the headlines LaBeouf makes today.
LaBeouf had the most promising career options, starring in “Holes,” a blockbuster based on the Louis Sachar book of the same name.
LaBeouf starred in “Transformers” and the “Indiana Jones” series shortly after “Even Stevens” end, but quickly became involved in the dark side of fame.
After many legal troubles for drunk driving and unlawful smoking in 2008, LaBeouf’s career and personal life hit a rough patch.
In 2011, LaBeouf confirmed romantic relations with co-stars Megan Fox and Isabel Lucas, causing controversy because they were both in relationships at the time.
Perhaps the most ridiculous of LaBeouf’s antics came in early 2014, with the actor wearing a brown paper bag over his head that read “I’m Not Famous Anymore.”
In Summer 2014, LaBeouf was arrested for disorderly conduct at New York’s Studio 54 theater and caused a headline-making scene.
Recently, LaBeouf has starred in the music video for Sia’s hit “Elastic Heart,” with “Dance Moms” star Maddie Ziegler. The music video caused controversy for the star, with many comparing LaBeouf’s role in the video to pedophilia.
However, LaBeouf’s future may turn out to be more promising than his past with him currently filming the British American movie “American Honey.”
Maybe, just maybe, he’ll be “famous” again and can leave the brown paper bag at home.
