BATON ROUGE – Louisiana State Police confirmed Monday authorities are looking into a major ATM compromise along the I-10 corridor between Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
According to Louisiana State Police the investigation centers around devices called “skimmers” which were placed at ATMs at Whitney Banks.
The devices take information from the cards swiped, such as card and PIN numbers which then allow thieves to take from the users’ accounts.
