This week’s episode starts off after the first rose ceremony. Kimberly, who didn’t get a rose, decides to come back and beg for a second chance. Chris (the bachelor) decides to give it to her, much to the chagrin of the other girls.
The dates start the next day. Six girls (Jade, Tandra, Ashley, Mackenzie, Kimberly and Tara) are invited on a pool party date.
Two girls, Megan and Jillian, who weren’t invited on the date, decide that since there aren’t any rules they are going to sneak into Chris’ house and investigate. Megan has fun wearing Chris’ motorcycle helmet and ramming her head into the walls.
After the pool party, Chris reveals that the girls will be racing tractors down a city street in Los Angeles. Ashley I. won the tractor race and she gets to have one on one time with Chris.
Back at the house, Juelia reveals to the other girls that she has a daughter. Juelia was married to her daughter’s father and shortly after she was born, he killed himself. It’s a very emotional moment. She hasn’t told Chris yet because she’s not sure how to reveal such a traumatic moment to him so quickly.
The girls on the date are very anxious as they wait for Chris and Ashley I.’s one-on-one date to end. Once they’re back, Chris invites Mackenzie to spend the rest of the date with him so he can get to know her.
Mackenzie and Chris go out to eat and spend some quality time together. The date starts off with Mackenzie discussing a few strange topics such as aliens and big noses. She takes the time to open up to him and tell him that she has a one year old son. Chris isn’t phased. At the end of the date, he gives her a rose. They share some smooches.
Back at the house, Megan gets an invitation to go on a date with Chris. They get to go on a helicopter ride and have a picnic. She reveals that three days before she came to “The Bachelor,” her father had a massive heart attack and passed away. He gives her a rose and they kiss.
11 girls get invited on a group date. They wait anxiously in the limo at a dark location. Chris scares them and reveals that they will be fighting zombies/playing paintball. Ashley S. seems to take it a little too far and goes crazy. No surprise.
Kaitlyn and Chris share a special moment and kiss. He tries to take Ashley S. on a private moment but she’s clearly not thinking straight and he ends the one-on-one time quickly.
He takes Britt on a special moment and they connect. Chris gives her a note that says “free kiss.” She uses it.
At the end of the date, he gives a rose to Kaitlyn. Britt, post make-out, is not happy.
At the cocktail party before the rose ceremony, Ashley I. (the virgin) tells him that she has a genie lamp belly button ring and that he can make three wishes throughout the duration of the show. His first wish is to kiss her. She grants it.
Jordan is drunk and really wants to kiss him. He manages to avoid the kiss.
At the rose ceremony, Britt gets the first rose. Tara, Kimberly, Jordan, and Alissa do not receive roses tonight.
