LSU English professor Elizabeth Oliver was struck by a pickup truck on Sunday while walking in the Southbound lane of La. 952 according to The Advocate.
The 63-year-old was transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck, Jessie Banguel, showed no signs of alcohol when given a breath test.
