For the fourth year in a row, the LSU coaching staff leads the nation in total salary, according to the USA Today.
The database, released Wednesday afternoon, shows the salaries of assistant coaches for most of the schools in the country.
The Tigers’ staff salary for the past season is just more than $5.47 million dollars, which is good for tops in the country. LSU leads SEC West rivals Auburn ($5.34 million) and Alabama ($5.23 million), who are second and third on the list respectively.
LSU’s offensive coordinator Cam Cameron’s $1.51 million ranked second to Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp’s $1.6 million. Cameron is the highest paid offensive coordinator.
With Cameron’s contract expires in March, questions continue to swirl about his future at LSU.
Miles has failed to offer any definitive answers on Cameron’s future in Baton Rouge but said he is “contemplating no changes at this point…in personnel” at his press conference on Sunday afternoon.
LSU is the only school with two coaches in the top-ten as defensive coordinator Kevin Steele ranks ninth with just over one million dollars. The Steele-Cameron combo also makes LSU the only school paying two coordinators seven figures each.
