The post-season honors continue to roll-in for the No. 20 LSU football team. This time, the award comes from CBS Sports.
CBS’ college football writers and experts named sophomore running back Leonard Fournette and senior safety Jalen Mills to the site’s All-America First Team.
Mills played in only six games for LSU with five starts after suffering an ankle injury during practice before the year started. He returned against Florida on October 17. On the season, Mills totaled 30 tackles and one sack.
Fournette finished the regular season with an LSU single-season rushing record of 1,741 yards and a nation-leading 158.3 yards per game. Tuesday, Fournette made the All-Southeastern Conference First Team.
Fournette will look to add to his award list on Thursday at the College Football Awards Show in Atlanta. He is a finalist for the Doak Walker Award for the nation’s top running back.
