Taped to the locked door of the University’s beloved Dairy Store is a sign reading “Closed until further notice.”
But it’s possible that “until further notice” could mean permanently.
The Dairy Store closed Thursday after the sole employee who could operate the creamery to make ice cream left to take a new job, according to Gary Hay, director of the School of Animal Sciences.
Budget cuts are the reason there was only one employee who could make ice cream, Hay said.
