The LSU Board of Supervisors voted to fire LSU System President Dr. John Lombardi in a meeting today. The board debated for about 30 minutes before making a final vote. They voted 12 to four in favor of firing Lombardi.
Lombardi was not at the board meeting.
Former LSU System President Bill Jenkins will become interim president until a replacement for Lombardi is named.
