Technophiles can rejoice today - the Baton Rouge Area Chamber is showcasing Tech Tuesday, presented by Cox Communications.
The event is an opportunity for audiences to get a first look at the new business technology that will be available to University students in the fall. Tech Tuesday will be hosted by the E.J. Ourso College of Business in the new Business Education Complex.
According to the BRAC website, “Tech Tuesday is the ultimate networking opportunity for the Baton Rouge area’s technology community.”
Tech Tuesday is intended to bring technology lovers together and allow them to discover and chat about new technological developments in the Red Stick.
BRAC Events Director Nancy Little said this is the first Tech Tuesday event hosted by the University. According to Little, Tech Tuesday is a quarterly event, and LSU is the first stop on the 2012 tour.
“The target audiences for the Tech Tuesday event are BRAC investors and guests. Attendees will be touring the Business Education Complex at LSU to learn more about the technology in the classrooms and other spaces in the new complex,” said Lauren Songy Hatcher, BRAC Director of Advertising and Communications.
Hatcher also said that the event, along with Cox Communications, will be sponsored by Antares, CMA Technology Solutions and AT&T. These companies will have promotional feature tables on display, according to Hatcher.
The equipment and technology available at the event is still unclear, so the only way to find out about the new business tools will be to see them first-hand. Tech Tuesday begins at 5:30 p.m. and last until 7:30 p.m.
