LSU senior kicker Colt David was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
David accounted for 7 of the Tigers’ 13 points in LSU’s 31-13 senior day loss to Ole Miss.
The Grapevine, Texas, native connected on both of his field goal attempts, connecting from 46 and 52 yards, and on his only extra-point attempt of the game.
LSU sophomore linebacker Kelvin Sheppard also earned conference honors for his 17-tackle performance, including three solo tackles and one tackle for a loss.
Multiple Ole Miss players also received recognition this week.
Junior center Daverin Geralds, a Baton Rouge native, was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, and senior defensive tackle Peria Jerry earned SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors.
Jerry compiled three tackles, 2.5 for a loss and one sack in the Rebels’ win.
Ole Miss sophomore quarterback Jevan Snead also earned SEC honors for his 16-for-25, 274-yard, two-touchdown performance in Ole Miss’ victory against LSU.
