The LSU volleyball team will participate in the McNeese Invitational in Lake Charles this weekend.The Tigers were originally scheduled to host the Tiger Classic this weekend, but the tournament was canceled following Hurricane Gustav.LSU will open the McNeese Invitational with a match against Nicholls State at 2 p.m. Friday and then play a match against McNeese at 7 p.m. Saturday.LSU enters the tournament with a 2-1 record after this past weekend’s Bluejay Invitational in Omaha, Neb.The Tigers returned to Baton Rouge by bus late Thursday afternoon after staying in Memphis during the storm and will depart for Lake Charles at 8 a.m. Friday morning.—Contact Jerit Roser at [email protected].
