The University will be closed Wednesday because of Hurricane Gustav’s threats to south Louisiana, according to a University press release.Gustav, a strong Category 3 hurricane, is expected to make landfall some time Monday.The hurricane has a maximum sustained wind speed of 120 miles per hour, as of 10 a.m. Sunday.The LSU Child Care Center, the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, the LSU Agricultural Center and the LSU Laboratory School will also be closed Wednesday.Residence halls, campus apartments and family and graduate housing will remain open through the week.The 459 Commons Dining Hall will be open Monday through Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Other campus dining halls will be closed those days.
