Three LSU sporting teams are staying on the road to avoid re-entering Louisiana during Hurricane Gustav.The women’s basketball team will remain in Vancouver, British Columbia, after wrapping up play today in the Labor Day Canadian tour.The volleyball team has already finished play in the Bluejay Invitational in Omaha, Neb. The team flew to Memphis, Tenn., but will not take their scheduled connecting flight to New Orleans.The team is making the best of the situation by taking in some of the sights at Graceland.Caroline Domecq, associate sports information director, said the Tigers’ home tournament scheduled Friday and Saturday at the PMAC is now uncertain.”It’s more than likely that it may not happen,” Domecq said. The LSU soccer team will remain in Chicago and will conclude play Monday in the inaugural Lakeside Invitational at Lakeside Field.”We’re watching CNN constantly, and it’s just depressing,” said junior midfielder Michelle Makasini. “Sometimes we just have to change the channel, because we’re wondering what we’re going to come home to.”
