Baton Rouge radio station WJBO is reporting LSU softball players Tayl’r Hollis and Vanessa Soto have been released from the team.
Team spokesperson Melissa Foley declined to comment when contacted by The Daily Reveille.
Both Hollis and Soto saw significant playing time this past season for the Tigers and helped the team reach the super regionals in the NCAA tournament.
Hollis, who played third base, batted .271 in 52 games, and Soto, who played both first and second base, batted .280 in 66 games this past season.
