The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts selected Julie Gerdes of Mandeville, La. and Candace Comeaux of Lafayette, La. for its internship program this spring as part of the Kennedy Center Institute for Arts Management. Gerdes earned her Bachelor of Art degree in English and graduated from the Honors College at the University May 2007. Comeaux earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in mass communication and graduated from the University December 2008.  
In the internship program, Comeaux will be interning for the Dance programming department, and Gerdes will be interning at the Institutional Affairs Office.
