Lee Domingue and Dan Claitor will face off in an April 4 election, according to closing polls at the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Web site. Claitor took the lead with more than 6,500 votes over opponents Domingue with 5,760 votes and Calongne with 4,511 for the seat left vacant by Bill Cassidy when he was elected U.S. Representative in the Nov. 4 general election. All three candidates ran on the Republican ticket.
