The University school of Veterinary Medicine is hosting the Hill’s LSU SVM 16th Annual Great Rover Road Run on Saturday, March 21. The 5K run, which winds through campus, begins at 8 a.m., and a one mile “Fun Run” begins at 9 a.m. at the veterinary school on Skip Bertman Drive, according to a University news release.Participants are encouraged to bring their dogs for the “Fun Run.” Every participant will get a t-shirt and complimentary “doggy bag.” To pre-register, contact the school at 225-578-9900 or go to www.vetmed.lsu.edu to download a registration form. Participants can register on-site the day of the run, the release states. Dog participants must be on a six-foot, non-retractable leash. Proceeds will benefit the student chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
